Team Blow Valve: Drift RC Site How To Join

How To Join Our Team
Let me first start off by asking the question "What is Drifting?" Drifting is the car's ability to run on a track at high speeds turning on an angle at each turn. The same could be said for RC drifting. To drift with an RC car you need many things. First you need a 4WD RC car. It should be on a scale of 1:10 or more. Your car will need stifff suspension insuring that the car won't flip or turn over while drifting. You well highly need PVC or plastic tires so that the car will have less grip enabling the car to drift. Sorry, electronic tape won't do!
You can buy a regular 4WD drive RC and add on the PVC tires. But if you want to drift straight after adding batteries, I suggest buying a car from Yokomo, Tamiya, Losi, or even Tyco! Now Yokomo RC cars are built for drifting, they are the top of he line drift RC's. But like Peter Parker's (Spider-Man) Uncle said "With great RC cars comes High prices." Yokomo cars may run great, but if your on a budget; this car may not be for you. Yokomo car's on an average cost $300.00. Tamiya cars are alot cheaper. They may not look as detailed as Yokomo cars, but they are the cars that beginner drifters use. On an average price of $89.00-$250.00; anybody should be able to buy them.
Now let's talk about Tyco! Tyco has created a line of drift cars called "Drift Kings." Drift Kings are the cars me and my teammate Chris use. Drift Kings come with PVC tires and they are detailed to resemble the real cars. Right now, they have the RX-7 (I use) and the Nissan Silvia S15 (Chris uses). Iv'e been to countless forums, and some people say that Drift Kings will never be a real competitor! Sure Drift Kings may be a TAD BIT! Only a Tad Bit slower than other high grade toy cars, but you can just add a faster motor. Just buy a 540 motor(Yokomo and Tamiya cars come with this motor) off the internet and your ready to compete on a track. With mostly pros, Drift Kings are a good toy grade RC car with a good price. For $57.00 you could walk away with a Drift King.
Let's talk about Team Blow Valve. Team Blow Valve use to be a Xmod team as some of you may already know. Our leader, oh thats me! I had a Acura NSX Xmod that went 14 MPH after putting atleast $100.00 into it with only Radio Shack parts. Then I watched "Formula D" on G4TV. I saw the episode with the Yokomo drift RC cars and I was hooked. I then stated to myself that thats what I was going to do. Now Team Blow Valve is a Drift Team. You may wonder "What is a Blow Valve?" A blow valve is obviously a valve, that creates the sound turbo makes in a car. Thats the only way if you heard it, you would know the car had Turbo. Well this is how you would join. You would have to have a 4WD drift RC with all the other things included. MSN IM me. My MSN name is SkylineGTR2789@aol.com. Or call me at 804-389-0544. If I don't answer, leave a message. Now I would like to have my team members live in the same state or go to the same High school as me. But I will allow other people in other states be apart of Teamblowvalve. If you want to be on our team and you live in another state. Contact me first and then if you are approved, go on zoomshare.com or freewebs.com and create your sub-team in your state site there. When you create your site. For example, if you live in New York, let your site be teamblowvalveNY.zoomshare.com -OR- freewebs.com/teamblowvalveNY.
It's that simple! But remember to add people in your state on your sub-team. Thats all for now, Out..........
